26 The very first moment of the marriot fire in Islamabad, the channel, especially in india were reporting the case as a suicide bomb attack… but after half hour the supers came as a fire erupted the marriot… whatever happened in a place like Islamabad has a taste of bomb attack in the eyes of media..
26 P Chidambaram, Home minster said, “we are trying to replicate strategies studied there(US)”… bravo Mr. Chidambaram, lets make a Guantanamo here some where in any Island in Indian ocean and attck Pakistan and other neighbouring countries or any country from Africa, since they are economically weak… lets do it with Somalia… in the name of war against terror..
26 Congress is trying to take away the credit for the success of Slumdog Millionnaire. Lots of questions rises here with the credit taking drama of the establishment in this democratic country. In delhi onlu more than 25,000 juggis are exsisting.. Dharavi is not exceptional, the biggest slum the world… lakhs of people living there counting the stars… strong and powerfull policies by the Government can rescue them from the “Slumdog” life. But what the government is doing, taking the credit of the life situations of that lakhs…
26 Dealing with the celebrities… Azharauddin Ismail is a street boy before he becomes a Slumdog Oscar star. Rubina Ali too. There were certain moments I cant forget from their Oscar tour… on the redcarpet front of the Codak theatre, all the child stars interviewed by the media. When the interview started, the woman who was accompanying them said to rubina and ismail to talk in Hindi. When the interview was on one of English speaking reporter asked something to Rubina, Suddenly, the little artist, who did role of Youngest Jamal said, “She doesn’t know English”… here is the criticism… who is the smartest? Media or the youngest Jamal.
All are back in Mumbai. Ismail standing front of his house called roadside tent and media is surrounded all over him… he is terrified… what I saw in his eyes is, the complexities of an immediate stardom… I do remember one of his dialogue, which he said everywhere, “I am enjoyed a lot”… rest, he doesn’t know what to say…
25 One of the senior anchors in the country asked a reporter of a same channel, how many people died in the plane crash? The reporter replied… 138. The same moment I tuned to BBC and the anchor was saying, “initial report says, one dead, 20 injured”… that’s the professional knowledge about the description of an accident from a GenY reporter…
25 what is the role of the media in the bilateral issues.. especially when it comes to the security, terrorism like sensitive issues… Yeah.. here we have lots of examples in indian media they are the investigation agencies and judiciary and all… high degree of jingoism is ruling the media and that leading this country to the path of Hitlor and Mussolini. This highly manipulated jingoism of Hitler and Mussolini lead the biggest massacre of the human history last century… what the Indian media is trying to establish?
